About Us

College Soccer Blog was created to be a clear, honest, and practical resource for players and parents who want to understand what it really takes to reach the next level. The goal is simple: to help athletes and families navigate the ever-changing college soccer landscape with confidence, preparation, and accurate information at the right time.

In a market filled with expensive recruiting services, misleading promises, and conflicting advice, it can be difficult for families to know who to trust. College Soccer Blog was created to cut through the noise and provide honest guidance grounded in real experience. The insights and advice shared here are shaped by the journeys of Division I college soccer players who have gone through the recruiting process themselves and understand what truly matters. The goal is to replace confusion with clarity and help players focus on the steps that actually lead to opportunities at the next level.

Meet The Founder

College Soccer Blog was founded by Quinn Groves, a former Division I soccer player at Cleveland State University. Quinn also has extensive experience  playing at the semi-professional level as well, in both USL League 2 and NPSL. His personal playing experiences combined with his vast network of other professional and Division I players provide the perspective behind the guidance shared on this site.

Soccer has been a lifelong part of Quinn’s family. Both of his parents also played Division I soccer: his mother at the University of Georgia and Ohio University, and his father at the University of Dayton. Growing up in a household deeply connected to the sport provided early insight into the dedication, preparation, and decision-making required to succeed at the next level. Much of the guidance shared on College Soccer Blog reflects lessons that have been passed down through generations of experience in the game, from youth soccer and recruiting to competing at the college leve
